Located in Kenya, the Nairobi National Park is one of the oldest and most precious of national parks in Kenya. he park contains savanna land that stretches right up to the skyline of Nairobi - the only major city in the world that neighbors a natural game protection park.

The Nairobi National Park is not one of the largest; in fact it covers an area of just about 117 sq kms. Its terrain is characterized by vast open plain grounds, interspersed by rocky ridges, some occasional vegetation and the meandering Mbagathi Athi River. The animals found in this national park are diverse. You can obviously spot the Big Five, as well as African buffalos, baboons, black rhinoceros, Burchell's zebra, cheetahs, Coke's hartebeest, Grant's gazelle, hippopotamus, leopard, lion, Thomson's gazelle, eland, impala, Masai giraffe, ostrich, vulture, and waterbuck. In fact if you are lucky, you just might be able to view a lion seeking out its prey. Since water is available here all year through, you would also be able to spot a lot of animals who visit the waterholes.
